Using the embodiment of Shakyamuni, I integrate memories of prospecting in XiaobeiTaojin(a special community in my hometown that surrounded with african people and second-immigration child, while lots of local residents are xenophobic.)Explore the identity of individuals in the context of the Sino-African community culture.Through authentic collection scans of community culture fusion, diverse forms of mixed media, and on-site research, I delve into the cultural belonging of those who grew up in a ‘simulatedhomeland’ abroad and how it impacts one’s identity and sense of belonging.I weave their memories, collective sensory spaces, and creations of the ‘simulated homeland’ into the work, creating a beautiful fruit of the foreign land.
